Why Vaylen exists.
I'm Matthew, the founder of Vaylen Investment Partners.
I hold a degree in Construction Project Management and spent a couple of years working as a letting agent here in Manchester. Over that time I kept noticing the same thing: landlords who were unhappy with how their property was performing — or who simply had no idea how it was really doing at all. Properties with real potential were being left short of it.
I got tired of seeing landlords accept the lowest standard, when a higher standard would have meant a stronger yield. So I left agency work to build Vaylen — bringing that construction and project management background to bear on refurbishments and asset management, not just letting agency habits — a business focused entirely on helping landlords and investors see what their property is actually capable of, and get it there.

How quickly can you carry out an inspection?
We aim to book inspections within a few working days of getting in touch, sooner where there's urgency. Get in touch with your property details and we'll confirm a time.
How do I pay for services?
One-off services (inspections, consultations) are invoiced after the visit. Monthly plans are billed in advance and can be set up by standing order or direct debit. Full details are set out before any work begins.
Are you tied to any letting agency or contractor?
No — Vaylen is independent. We're not tied to any letting agency, developer, or building firm, so our advice is for you, not for a referral fee.
